An unusual sultry week in a chill and wintry January. It was unbelievably warm drying my throat up. Just while I thought of making a lemonade did I realise that I had strawberries freezing in the refrigerator. So when I was browsing for easy summer drinks I stumbled upon strawberry lemonade :) It looked so colourfully tempting that I couldn't resist not making it :) Oh well, you know what? You could serve this as a welcome drink to guests and friends visiting you! its incredibly simple :)
Ingredients
Strawberries
8
Lemon
1
Sugar
2 or 3 tbsp
Directions 1. Blend the strawberries with sugar in a blender. 2. Strain the blend liquid into a container and add lemon juice to it.
3. Enjoy while its chill.
Note
You could also add soda to it if you wish to.
Straining is an important step, it filters the seeds.
Thought of sharing another important tip here about strawberries- They are so vulnerable to being perishable :) so instead of refrigerating them, you could pack them in an air tight/ zip lock bag, (cover it with a paper if you want) and store them in the freezer. They last for about a month. When you want to use it, you may pull as many berries as you want and keep them for a few minutes in room temperature before you use them. This holds good for raspberry, blackberry and blueberry as well.
